So we ordered without seeing the pergola. But from other reviews we decided to get and believe me it was well worth it. My husband got it up in a day with little problems, had to redrill a couple holes. That same afternoon we had a strong thunder storm with high winds, and we hadn’t had time to anchor it down…..it didn’t move at all.We are totally happy with it and have anchored since then.
So glad we made this purchase! Very sturdy and heavy !
We ordered this planning to put it up on 4th of July weekend, 5 of the 7 boxes came that week and 1 came the next week but part of the order went to Chicago When I live in Az! So we had to wait another week for it to be rerouted back to us.
Getting all of the correct pieces undamaged took a couple of weeks and was a huge headache so I took off a star for that. But once I got it up, it looked great and works great! This morning we had a storm with golf ball size hail that took out our roof, some chairs and our siding but the pergola is still standing. A lot of the louvered pieces are dented but the integrity is still strong and those pieces shouldn't be too difficult to replace. To say I'm impressed is an understatement.
Love this pergola so far! Really well made and shields water pretty well. Can not speak for long term but seems like it will withstand the weather. It is beautiful and looks more expensive than it is.
