Kozyard Umbrella Base FAQ
Practical questions from U.S. customers about everyday use, stability, and compatibility of Kozyard umbrella bases.
The Kozyard umbrella base is made from heavy-duty, powder-coated steel that is rust-resistant, fade-resistant, and built for everyday outdoor use on patios, decks, and poolside areas. For extra stability in windy locations, you can also pair it with Kozyard sandbags.
The Kozyard base provides solid everyday stability for backyard and patio use. In breezy or open areas, we recommend using it with a properly weighted umbrella base or adding Kozyard sandbags / additional weights to keep the umbrella secure and prevent tipping.
Kozyard umbrella bases are designed to fit most standard patio umbrellas with common pole diameters (typically around 1.26–1.9 inches). Always check the specific product listing for exact pole size and recommended umbrella diameter.
Yes. The low-profile steel base works well on composite decks, concrete patios, paver surfaces, and pool areas. For delicate decking, you can place a thin outdoor mat under the base to help protect the surface and prevent slipping.
Assembly is simple and usually takes just a few minutes with basic tools. The base is heavy enough for stability but still manageable to slide or lift when you need to rearrange your furniture. In the off-season, you can store it in a garage or shed; Kozyard sandbags can be removed and stored separately.
