Makes it totally comfortable to be out on the patio on a 90 degree day. Tilt and turn mechanisms are easy to use so that the shade can be where you want it all afternoon. So contented that I’m going to look for some more furniture to make even better use of it.
Good quality and easy to assemble
I definitely recommend additional base weight or anchoring. The umbrella itself is good quality and covers our whole deck. It is well-made. We are enjoying the shade it provides.
This is a wonderful umbrella. While the umbrella does not measure 10' x 10' (it falls a number of inches short on L and W) it is really quite large. We love the beige, as it allows a lot of light through. The ability to tilt the umbrella to provide better protection against the sun is a huge plus (see photo), and the mechanics work smoothly. Tilting also helps remove the leaves that land on top. :-) You DEFINITELY need the recommended 180lbs of counterweight on the base of the umbrella. Right now we are using bags of sand but will be moving that sand into the plastic containers that fit into the X-frame of the umbrella base.
Our options for shade on our deck were very limited. Ordered 2 for full coverage of the deck. Placed one at each end of our deck and they come together beautifully. Love how easy they are to use. Going to order one for our Florida home.
